Overview
CareerNet Approved client is seeking full-time prospective Fiduciary Tax Accountant for their multiple offices. They are willing to train new hires to instill an extensive knowledge of Trusts & Estates practices, as well as general knowledge of law firm practices and procedures to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Identify, collect, analyze, extract, organize, and maintain:
- Facts and documents in accordance with correct legal practices and procedures
- Financial statements and spreadsheets related to client investments
- Develop, organize, and maintain:
- Working relationships with clients and personnel, both internal and external
- Tracking and accounting systems for sophisticated client investments to facilitate the preparation of U.S. trust tax returns
- Information, facts, records, and other documents necessary to support legal actions
- Prepare:
- Federal and state death tax returns, as well as income tax returns for descendants’ estates, testamentary, and inter vivos trusts
- Individual, fiduciary, partnership, and non-profit organization tax returns
- Gift tax returns
- Estate and trust probate accountings
- Related filings, planning, and analysis for all accountings and returns
- Assist in the analysis of legal proceedings to identify problems, needs and procedures
- Administration of trusts and estates
- Verbal and written communication with clients, trustees, banks, and other parties
- Track due dates, file returns and accountings in a timely manner, or extend returns and accountings where applicable
Your Qualifications
- A Graduate Degree in Accounting
- Knowledge of, or the willingness to learn, the following:
- Accounting and trust procedures
- Individual, partnership, and corporate balance sheets
- Legal functions used in the processing of trusts and estates
- Ability to develop, organize, maintain, and effectively manage electronic data collection and case materials
- Proficiency in MS Excel
